Engagement on social media is great—but only if you turn it into leads with this one strategy...

Just wrapped up an awesome webinar with Taylor Kerrigan on how to add more value to your database so you can get more referrals from it.

One of the things we talked about was that just important as getting followers and engagement with your social media database is getting their contact info. What's the point of getting good engagement if we can't turn it into leads that we can follow up with. So her's how we do just that...

You make a post with a good photo, or even better, a video announcing a giveaway. The giveaway should be something fun that appeals to every one. Think of things that are timely such as the Superbowl, something winter related or something for Valentines Day.

Once you get your giveaway figured out, now you have to craft content that causes them to engage and you'll need to let them know in the copy that you'll be messaging them a link to enter (this can be you or a VA).

To get them to engage your "call to action" to enter the contest has to include them dropping something in the contacts such as a football, heart, sled, etc (make it match the theme). This causes your post to continue to be seen and therefore more and more people will enter.

After you dm each person with your link to a form (we use paperform) you then start collecting their contact info for which you take and enter into your database so you can start adding value to them, which in turn, gives you permission to ask for a referral later.

And that my friends is how you start collecting the contact info of every Facebook friend and Instagram follower.

Until then, let's have an unreal Friday!
