The softer the market, the more winners win. Period. 


How? 


Because the average mind justifies and the winner's mind competes. What this means is average to below average producers will justify why their listings are down, sales are down etc because the "market is down" and while the market may be down in terms of home sales, winners rarely ever are. 


But why is this?


Here's a simple example to follow... if sales are down maybe 20-30% in the last year or so that means the average to below average producers are down by that same amount or more so then what does that mean for winners? It's means there's always more to go around because the decline in anything in real estate always pales in comparison to the decline in sales overall so what does this mean? 


It means there's actually MORE to go around for the winners because they wake up every morning and decide they are going to increase their market share while everyone else is complaining - and so they do! 


Give this one some thought and in the meantime, go take your unfair share.
