That's a wrap on this year's Spring LeadUp in Miami, FL!
For those of you that attended, I hope you got everything you needed (plus some) to go back and make a difference in the lives of your current and prospective agents.
Whether you attended or not, there are a few segments I'd like to share through the daily message because I think it's fits the mission to impact millions to live their most unreal life.
On Monday, I opened the event by sharing my thoughts on what leadership lessons and tactics are required to effectively lead a company today and decided that I'll share them here with you as well. They are the exact principles that we absolutely embody in our leadership teams, regardless of the company and in fact these were part of our annual leadership meeting for all of our leaders. Below are the first five points, taken right from my stage notes"
What Makes a Live Unreal Leader One to Follow in 2025?
Here’s a list of what I believe are our differences for which if we embody them, we will be THE organization to be affiliated with, regardless of your company or your role…Having said that I also see these as areas of opportunity for us.
We put our people first before our own agendas. In fact, if your agenda is anything other than impacting the lives of millions (knowing full well by doing so it will benefit you later) you don’t deserve a seat on the bus.
We don’t have a “that’s not my job” mentality. We know that if someone asks us to complete a task that is outside of the norm it must be because our peer is doing something that is a needed priority in that moment and there will be a day where I will be in the same situation and when that happens, the favor will be reciprocated.
Since it’s never about us and always about our people, a Live Unreal leader practices flexibility in their communication and delivery and will always seek first to understand before reacting to a conclusion that they may have made up in their mind. This includes knowing and understanding the difference between validating and agreement.
Speaking of people, LUL’s value all people, not just people like them. They are curious to learn and understand their peers' and associates backgrounds, beliefs and perspectives and don't “hang out” with other leaders or their associates just because they are like them.
LUL’s respect money. We know that everything we have today is because of years of efforts that we put in and got nothing in return during that time and so when it starts showing up we respect it and remember that it’s not from our immediate efforts but because of the months or years of efforts that helped get us to that point. In fact, in most of our organizations, a few really good years may only get us to “break even”.
I will share the rest of the list in the coming days (there's actually 19 of 'em) and in the meantime, lets get to work on the first five above.
Jeff
P.S. Hard to believe that the gloveru.com/tour starts NEXT WEEK (we start in Atlanta)! I am finalizing the notes today and one of the things I am most excited about is that, for the first time ever, we are incorporating the listing appointment in with the content, in addition to the all new PLACS model were using to generate more sellers - find is in a city near you!
